Re: Read Any Good Webcomics?
Was recently introduced to something.
It's... kind of a webcomic? But also a visual novel. It's an online text and image based multimedia thing.

Feel free to yell at me if it doesn't count, but only after you've taken a look at it.
I'm not all the way through what's currently up, so no spoilers or anything.
I went in basically entirely blind and that's the experience I'd recommend, but for those of you who need a pitch:

Hidden text.
Also... The visuals are phenomenal. It's the only thing I've ever seen that makes a CGA palette work. A bold choice that's executed well where others have fumbled. Also the soundtrack is great. Seriously, I can't recommend this enough. look at it. now.Re: Read Any Good Webcomics?
17776, 20020, and soon 20021. Jon Bois; sports writer and video essayist of "Pretty Good" fame; is currently working on a trilogy of interactive multimedia stories involving sentient space probes watching bored, immortal humans play through what the sport of football has (d)evolved into. Much like any of Bois' work, enjoying sports is *not* a prerequisite for enjoying the stories he has to tell as it dives into a deeper commentary about humanity and its desire to play.
17776
20020
And 20021 is still being worked on last I saw, possibly seeing a physical release... somehow??
Might be stretching the definition of webcomic as while it has a fair share of imagery, it's a bit heavier on text than a traditional webcomic, with video interstitials adding music choices to the mix as well.

I still poke at Gunnerkrigg Court from time to time, but I haven't really been keeping up with any particular webcomics anymore.
I sometimes open up Questionable Content out of morbid curiosity, but it hasn't been relevant to me for a long time.
I'm open to recommendations!!

Re: Read Any Good Webcomics?
I really like Badnix which is set in a video game world but it's from the perspective of the "bad guys" but it's all recontextualized, and it plays with a lot of meta stuff and tropes while still telling a serious story. Hasn't had an update in several years because the artist has been working on a video game set in the same setting, but hopefully someday...! On the other hand that means catching up isn't chasing a moving target.
Kid Radd is a much older comic that has concluded and that also plays with game tropes in a completely different way in a "sprite comic" style.
