I've been online since I was 12 years old and first joined a Girl Guides (Canadian Girl Scouts) IRC channel under my mom's supervision. My early introduction to socializing online, other than IRC, was in forums like these! I spent a lot of my first years online reading Animorphs and Lion King fanfiction, if that dates me. I'm a big fan of vaporwave and y2k aesthetics as a sort of rose-colored look on my childhood, even though the aesthetics never actually existed
