Freedom's greetings!
The Helldivers are the galaxy's last line of offense, launching from space onto different planets to fight for fascism freedom. Are you an active diver? Do you wish to earn your cape and fight for liberty across the galaxy? Do you have the courage to be free? Then be a Helldiver.
Okay, enough in-universe writing. If you actively play Helldivers 2 on either PC or PS5, or are interested in picking it up, then this is where to talk about it. I got back into the game fairly recently after seeing a few Helldivers cosplays at Anthrocon the other weekend. This game is also not the most lore/story-heavy, but there is lore, so if you wish to discuss it you can do so here too.

Re: Helldivers
I joined the fight for super-earth in the last days of Malevalon Creek, but dropped after Sony tried to force a PSN account (and then didn't bring it back for countries that can't have a PSN account until very recently), I kind of want to come back, but also sometimes I wonder if I have the time to do it at all

Ah yeah, I remember Malevelon Creek. That was what got me interested in the first place. The amount of divers who fought on the Creek was notable enough to be commemorated in the game's lore. Also, if you got the time to I'd recommend it, I've been having way more fun with it than other online games I play (Team Fortress 2 and Final Fantasy XIV) lately. It's especially fun if you got a group to play with.

Re: Helldivers
I'm really torn on the new Support Weapon, the Epoch, what with the weirdness of the charge being significantly less forgiving than the Railgun (there's like a second's window in between the full charge effect and blowing yourself up) and also the spread being bugged af makes it so hard to use. It kind of sucks against the bots, but I actually felt like it does pretty well against the Terminids. I've been wanting a plasma support weapon since the game released, mostly because it's just cool.
