[Subject line could've also been PC Wan-jin, but it looks like "jin" might sometimes mean "man", so I went with the above!]
So, hi! I'm Berto, and I like to be a big, fluffy warg (or, in Spanish, huargo) on the internet, maybe in person too once I get around to making my fursona suit. [I've made other suits for myself a long time ago, and I just keep them maintained best I can. I do need to come back into practice, though. Some pics of my current most active suit, Luno the Wolf, can be found at https://woof.tech/@Berto/112299628123454810 . ]
Despite the -o endings, I do consider myself non-binary! I've tried going with something like "Berte, une huargue" but it looks more French than Spanish; I'm still trying to figure that out. But yeah, any pronouns are okay; if you can't decide, I default to {e, ey}/em/eir in English, or elle/le in Spanish.
I'm a 40-something, living in the Denver metro, in Colorado in the US -- though I'm trying to see if there's any company and position that would allow me to work remotely internationally; I'm aiming to be in Portugal.
[Hablo y comunico en español, si Ud. gusta -- e também estou estudando e praticando o português; perdão por qualquer portunhol que escrevo.]

For interests, I'm pretty big into DIY stuff, for making or repairing, so I've made my own fursuits, drawn my own stuff, &c. I also do my best on fursuit performing, trying to be as expressive as I can, sometimes watching videos of myself performing and seeing where I might be able to extend my arms or legs farther, such and so forth.
For further DIY stuff, I've also been putting together my own portable computer from a Pi 5, portable screen, and batteries with charging system, and it's been my daily driver.
I'm also learning how to program microcontrollers, particularly the RP2040 & RP2350, and I'm starting off with making myself a digital watch as a first tangible thing. Got something working with MicroPython (via playing around with the contents of existing open-source libraries, admittedly), though it only seems to last 5 to 6 hours with a 120 mAh battery, so I figure I'll also need to get familiar with standard C, which should hopefully be more battery efficient.
---
And as far as games go, though I currently play primarily my Switch, I'm also a huge fan of the PC Engine (as you might've guessed from the title), given that I'm just amazed that so cute and capable a console came out in 1987. I do love its wavetable synthesis, and I've been learning Furnace to make some HuC6280 music; I currently have a couple of covers of Vampire Savior music on a MakerTube channel of mine, at https://makertube.net/c/bertophonic, though because the instruments rely a lot on waveform switching, it's possible they may sound much too fuzzy on any hardware with the standard HuC6280 (and not the revised HuC6280A found on the first PC Engine CoreGrafx, as well as the SuperGrafx. That is, if it were possible for Furnace to export HES files -- which it seems not currently, but hey, I can't really complain about FOSS.
But yeah, I'm currently working on modding in the TurboNanza video mod into a PC Engine console, as well as making a full breakout cable of the mini-DIN-styled 10-pin Sega Saturn A/V port. I, er, just need to finally complete them -- and then I'll try something weird like pulling Y from S-Video (i.e. Y/C), then running RGBS though a YPbPr converter and pulling Pb and Pr from there, so that I have accurate Luma-represented colors on YPbPr.

Anyway, for more about me, you're welcome to browse my Mastodon feed at https://woof.tech/@Berto -- and it was indeed on the Fediverse that I learned about this forum! I'm really enjoying the look and the standard font, and it's been a while since I've done forums -- so, I hope to have fun here! Thank you to everyone involved in putting this forum up and running it!
