I've been playing through Animal Crossing: Wild World since October and having a lot of fun. I plan on 100%ing the catalogue. It's my second town, my first was in 2006. I should be finished catching bugs and fish in September. I've also been playing a new New Leaf save since Pretendo got it back online recently.

For some reason didn't think of mentioning Animal Crossing, playing New Horizons since July because I lost my original island save data when I had to replace the switch.

Pretty much done, my objective was to 100% the museum without time or online shenanigans and I just got the last art piece.

Turns out July is one of the worst months to start if you plan to 100% the museum, fireflies only appear in June while every other creature is done by March, so even if you were lucky with the art pieces you need to play a full year at least.

I fell into the ARPG hole and started up a run on last epoch, but also sinking time into warframe again because sometimes you just want to shoot 1000 men

Honestly, the way I play games is pretty erratic; constantly starting games only to not pick them back up for a while after (if ever). I blame the ADHD :P

I played a game called Wobbledogs recently. It's a pet simulator where you raise these silly looking dogs and crossbreed them, and it was... fine? It's a cute game, nice to just spend 30 minutes to an hour in, but after a while I kind of just got sad about the state of pet simulators in the modern day. We used to have things like Petz, endlessly complex genetics and AI, and that was in the 90s. I know Wobbledogs isn't trying to be anything but a cute little distraction, but I guess I just prefer more depth to my games

Wrapped up the main story to Death Stranding: On The Beach a few days ago, intending to go back and mop up the remaining side orders and infrastructure.

Also recently kicked off a replay of Mirrors Edge: Catalyst as it's been a hot minute. Still feels fresh, even though the online has been discontinued.

Otherwise perpetually in VRChat.

I'm about six hours into Sand Land. I cannot get enough of Toriyama's designs. I will miss him forever.

The game itself feels like a PS2 game with a shinier coat of paint. It's pretty small in scope, the voice acting is pretty bad, the combat is simple but fun. I don't know what dollar value I'd put on it but being a PS Plus game makes it an easy recommend if that's an option.

I've been playing Pikmin for the first time ever, I'm doing one day each irl day. I've been doing pretty decent but I had a couple days in a row with no ship parts (including one especially harrowing day where I lost 100 pikmin to a bird and also water) so hopefully I'm still able to get everything on time.

At zhis moment I'm jugglin';

Final Fantasy XIV: In Endwalker MSQ-wise, just past ze level 83 dungeon and decided to pause and catch up my Red Mage. (Was on DRG, I'm not feelin' it so much right now, wanna pick back up as a caster.) Kinda considering getting way into Big Fish huntin', too, I kinda want zhat kinda MMO hunt, covering a whole continent and researching details and juggling times of day.

Final Fantasy V: started my Fiesta run real late zhis year. Only up to Fire Ship. Knight and Red Mage so far, I'm pretty sure I'll be fine.

Pipstrello and the Cursed Yoyo: Brilliant lil' game. A real big Zelda-styled map where just about every pickup is movement-based, there are just rooms and tiny dungeons built around movement puzzles, and it's open enough to allow for a lot of exploration and alternate ways of solving whatever you run across. Rad music, too. I'm at around halfway, absolutely love it, GOTY frontrunner.

Played a little bit of two new releases - Golden Tee Arcade Classics and RoboCop Rogue City: Unfinished Business

Golden Tee is a nice compilation of 6 classics Golden Tee games plus two other Incredible Technologies trackball games - Shuffleshot and (one of my favorite arcade games) World Class Bowling. What's interesting is that Digital Eclipse has attempted to try and emulate the feel of using a trackball with analog sticks. I'm still getting used to it but what I've been able to try with it has been better than I expected. There's also just raw mouse input which probably is the best way to play it.

RoboCop Rogue City: Unfinished Business is a standalone expansion to one of my favorite games last year, RoboCop: Rogue City. It is a separate campaign, so you don't need the original game to play and it starts out with a sampling of the abilities from the first game, plus many of the side stuff unlocked from the get-go. This definitely seems more combat-focused from what I've played but it plays just as good as the original. It does kinda feel like it's trying to be something like movies The Raid or Dredd which is a plus in my book.

so excited for your kirby journey!!!! this is a really special series to me, nightmare in dreamland was my first one!! i have to recommend my favorite super star ultra, it takes the original and really improves on it and just looks beautiful as well. (also if you have any interest in the 3ds ones planet robobot is INSANELY good) enjoy and would love to see what you think/your next steps into kirby!!

Giving you a quick update on the Kirby Journey!
Finished last night Amazing Mirror and stuff was kinda nuts!

Got clapped bad by Metaknight near end going in with no powers not knowing what was gonna happen XD and learning too late his stars after his moves were giving sword and weren't just like on other bosses spawning stars on missing moves lol

Dark Mind's fight was a LOT to take in when checking how it played out, won't lie I went like 'OH HEY WHAT THE HELL?' analyzing what I was looking at and trying to overthink stuff lorewise XD His 1st phases kinda were annoying with how it was just 'Stage changes, do another round' but rest was cool.

Game was nuts and I'll definitely need to give multiplayer a shot someday.
Next in line's gonna be Squeak Squad it seems!

Soon I will learn about cake, the importance of cake in one's life

Read around some say Squeak Squad is the 'least good of the whole series' but that it's still very decent, wonder how that'll be like lol; imo nothing can be worse than Great Cave so I already got through the worst I feel

giving The Karters 2 a good shot since it finally released today yesterday (goomorning) :3 thinking of making a full on thread for it after i really sink my teeth in

two of its biggest selling points for me are the extensive modding tools, that already has a massive library of mods ready to download thanks to it's early access players, and it's heavy CTR inspiration.

it feels quite a bit different from normal CTR tho, i think they're going more for the high-flying sensation of keeping a blue fire boost in Nitro-Fueled, with more emphasis on trying to catch big air to cut corners across the track's boundaries.

also, Dingodile in the

I've been streaming Dave The Diver on Twitch. I can't believe I slept on that game so long. I'm having a blast with it.

Other games I've been playing on the side this past week are Mega Man Zero, TLoZ: Breath of the Wild, and Balatro.

Great Cave's final boss was just so DAMN rough oh my god, proto-Master Hand but so ridiculously tanky it was surreal oh my god lol

I'll have to see how it goes! I know nothing of it or any gimmicks and I kept myself blind enough on most of series to fully react to it all and I'm legit curious there XD
Think only thing I saw was that there was a new sword power which was good but I don't even know what it does OR what it is so that's gonna be interesting to see whenever it's seen!

The cake has been noticed

Recently a friend gifted me Guilty Gear Strive on steam. I don't have much experience with fighting games. when Street Fighter 6 came out I bought and played it some, but I didn't really click with it. this time I feel like I'm more invested. Still don't know what I'm doing but I'm playing a bit of training/mission mode/arcade every day or so.

Finished RoboCop: Rogue City: Unfinished Business. It's a really good expansion if you've finished the first game. Does some gameplay twists that plays with your standby tactics.

I gotta get on playing rogue city in general. As a big fan of OG robocop, hearing it nailed a lot of the satire and human elements that made the original thing tick has me extremely on board

Been playing Final Fantasy XV: Pocket Edition for the last fortnight or so. That's the mobile version that takes the same plotline, dialogue, music and even simplified cutscene rigging from the proper Final Fantasy XV and makes an entirely new game out of it, going from an open-world adventure to a more linear game. I heard about this version a couple years ago thanks to ThorHighHeels, and the way she described it sounded cool enough to me that I finally decided to try it. Also, I've never gotten far into any of the mainline FFs and the idea of making decent headway or even beating XV through an alternate version made primarily for phones was very funny to me.

I'm about halfway through, just having reached the Venice-esque city of Altissia (complete with accordion town music bananayay ), and it's an okay enough game. I like hanging out with the main lads, and kinda wish there was more opportunities to hang out with them via funny side-quests (though there's a good bit of banter between them as you're going through places and whole scenes where they're chatting as they drive down the motorway). Something I dig quite a bit is how the whole premise is this traditional enough story, "a band of friends go on a quest for weapons and power to fight back against an empire that's besieged their home", but it plays out against this modern backdrop of cars, smartphones and concrete cities.

I'm often charmed by the moments where the lads are stumbling through some countryside, hunting down a monster or avoiding capture from the empire, and a car will be driving past on a nearby road. Reminded me of how kids play in parks and stuff, pretending they're going on big adventures whilst the world passes them by. It loses a bit of that flavour when it goes into the dungeons, which are mostly just the usual caves and temples. I wish it had more modern settings to muck around in. I also wish the choices of music plucked from the main game were more interesting, a lot of the time the tracks you hear are pretty boring orchestral stuff that blends into the background imo.
