I lacked a proper ref for my pooltoy shape, but since I got a model of it, decided to use that.
Behold, squeaky Enby.

My sona Lemma has a design inspired by gunpla and other Bandai model kits!
...Heeey! I know this artist! This reference sheet was made by Cura, right? Nice to see their art in here

I love your character, these robo-stretch marks are so cute and creative

Ooh! I should throw my hat in this ring!
Cecil (Cecillia if fem-presenting) here is a plushie possessed by a little creature from a void of endless plaid. The shirt they're rarely seen without can work like one one of those black, circular holes you might see a cartoon character place onto a surface before reaching in/through.

I have occasional balloon forms. I just love the thought of being this air-filled, squeaky critter (certainly Leina does too!).
I'd have to say my main toy character now is Ceralor, who was created by Kay Ohtie but he has very graciously allowed me to basically adopt him and consider him my own. I've loved this big red dragon balloon since I first saw him, and it's a true honour to be allowed to think of him as me now.

I do love how you can recognize that a pooltoy furry is a pooltoy furry because they will write "Pool Toy" as "Pooltoy"

Hehe I guess there's not many people here who like to go for (non-erotic) solid rubber toys. Not super surprising; my choice of self representation seems very niche overall, and I think this is mostly something you go for when you really embrace autism and really embrace synthetic characters at the same time.
I've been playing with having my sona Maffi be a rubber Brionne sometimes, and I had the realization that not being full of air means she can actually properly dive into the water and swim around, while also not having to deal with fur getting wet.

It's not something I'd ever really considered, to be honest. Maybe it's because they tend to feel hard compared to the squishiness of a pooltoy or plushie.
I do know someone who is a solid plastic toy, though. There are others!

There is an idea of living model kit characters, or "Gunpla" as they're called.

They can be a few inches tall to almost life-size. It does sound like a fun idea to try.. if only because I did model kits a few times before!

Are they usually hard? I've seen lots of rubbery toys in real life that are squishy and the point is to squish them. Like Mash'ems for instance, though looking into it I do see some of these kinds of toys have liquid in them. However it's accomplished, I'm imagining a somewhat foam-like material with a smooth, reflective surface that squishes inwards when you push into it, without it causing cartoonish bulging elsewhere. That sounds amazing to be hehe.

There's something to the spectrum of squish here. Since our toy is wood, she'd be very rigid. But that seems appealing for a hug? Something solid you can squeeze and love. Everything has its upsides I think.

Oooh, fair enough, I was thinking something much more rigid and hardwearing, like a chewable dog toy or something like that.

I really like solid rubber characters and tend to default to them when RPing rubber characters. I like it better than being inflated.
I have a few toy characters or characters that are sometimes toys or are toy-like. Some of them are more NSFW but here's the SFW art I have of the ones I do have:
Pudding! He's normally made of cake and frosting, but this is his plush form. He uses a magic sewing needle to turn others into plushes.
Disqotek! It's a plush toy with a moonflower light for a face. It steals others' faces, turns them into masks, and uses them to decorate its house.
I'm not sure it counts as a toy, but is made of solid rubber and is definitely toy-coded frequently - nodeIonytrix, aka Io! It's a member of the planetmind, a hive mind controlled by a.. planet that's sapient, a planet with a mind! Joining the planetmind is voluntary (at least you're welcome to back out once you're converted, though very few people ever do) and they're all about feeling loved, wanted, supported, validated, and positive. It doesn't talk or change its facial expression but its eyes-discs spin and the cute little antennae (that was later added) on top of its bubble helmet goes 'bleep'. X)
And finally we have Spark, a critter I haven't drawn much of (and not in a very long time) that is sort of a squirrel/cat/rabbit thing, small fluffy creature with a wind-up key in its back. Once wound, it moves around until it slowly runs down, and when it unwinds completely, its face opens and a cuckoo-bird pops out. Mostly just a cute idea I had that I doodle occasionally. It goes along with Ember, a steam-powered weasel with a furnace in its torso, but that one has been drawn even less, and at any rate is rather less toy-coded.
I do also have an ornately decorated wind-up anthro rabbit (whose name is, funnily enough, 'Toy'), but the only art I have of it is from behind and has a butt showing, so I'm not sure it's appropriate for a SFW forum, haha.
