Moments frozen on silver and silicon: Cameras and Photography

Post by Faedleaf »

I noticed we were missing a photography thread, so i figured i'd give it a start here! Does anyone else do photography? Taken any good pictures lately? Got some new gear or a new method you want too show off? Post it here! I'd love to see what you all capture of the world around you.

ooh, yeah I do photography! I posted some fursuit photos that I took in my photography thread in the Arts & Crafts forum ^^

As for my equipment, I primarily shoot using a Canon R6 (Mark I). For lenses I typically take my 50mm f1.2 to conventions with me, along with my 70-200mm f2.8! Those two are usually versatile enough to get any shot I want to get x3

I'm actually lucky enough to have gotten a hold of an old intant polariod 600 camera recently. Been a bit difficult getting exposure right on it unfortunately, they come out fairly dark. Though i wonder if there's other stock available that comes out brighter

I was actually thinking about the lack of a photography thread recently but hadn't been able to hop on to make one yet lol.

I haven't gotten to do much photo stuff beyond phone camera until recently but I've been enjoying taking pics and developing them this semester. Got 2 photography classes right now, one is film and the other is digital.

I don't own a digital camera just yet but I think one is coming? Using a Minolta SRT101 for the film class, when I figure out how to digitize the pics I like I'll definitely share some of them.

Funnily enough my film cameras are minoltas too! I've got two fully manual XG-As and a maxxum 5000. Haven't had a chance to use them yet thoough. Most of our camera bag are remnants from our late grandmother, She was quite the travelbug and loved taking photos on her trips.
