Worry not. I'm on the third book (The Boredom) and about to start the 4th (The disappearance) and am therefore mainly a novel-focused haruhist.

I'm thinking of watching the anime broadcast order every few pages i finish. It's so fun to read something and then see how the anime handles it awwwwww. The low budget film arc was fire as fuckkkkkkk in the anime, i won't lie. nyaaaaaaa. smiles at you. mikuru beammmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Okay everynyan. Time to elaborate. So!
The Haruhi Suzumiya franchise is a multimedia animanga-ish franchise! It has an anime, a manga, a light novel, videogames and some other shit i probably don't know about.

The original apparition of Haruhi (aka the main character. who the franchise's named after) is through the 2003 light novel titled The Melancholy Of Haruhi Suzumiya.



Not to infodump on my own thread where i'm supposed to share relevant information on the board dedicated to sharing information relevant to you but;

So! Let's make this quick:
The Haruhi Suzumiya franchise is about this girl called . Haruhi Suzumiya. She distances herself from normal humans in hopes of connecting with unnatural entities such as aliens and time travelers.
Except it doesn't follow her, it follows the main character, Kyon who narrates how he accidentally befriended this weirdo Haruhi, ok?

Turns out she's insane and drags Kyon into starting a nonsense school club with no clear purpose, and then bla bla, it's revealed that she subconciously has world altering powers and that bla bla, Kyon only managed to befriend her because since she's basically god she subconsciouly chose him. Also aliens and time travelers and stuff like that exist. Because she wanted them to exist so bad that the back of her mind manifested them. And then she picks students at random to join her pointless club and turns out they all happen to be unnatural beings bla bla they're there for surveilance to make sure she doesn't find out she's technically god and starts powertripping / to study how and why she emits so much power that it can be felt across the universe / to do whatever she says and fuck around for as long as she wants so she doesn't end the world bla bla etc.

Anyways. The series isn't even about that, it's about the club she formed fucking around and doing side quests and random things.

don't hurt me for using windows 11 uwahhh. i'm a linux user i just like to spice it up by erratically hopping between windows and different distros . not even by double booting, i just use a distro for like 2 months and then have a cooldown period where i uninstall it and switch back to windows for some months until i decide what distro i want next. indecision world!
also this is my school aka college laptop and i used linux mint on it for a while and it was ass for some reason.



my figures. yuki nagato from the low budget film arc and an haruhi pinky st. collab figure. i ordered more yesterday and have four of the haruhi books and all of the anime downloaded onto a usb drive and have printed out like 7 posters related to the series. which couldn't possibly be a symptom of anything. i'm so normal.
