MFF Homies?

Oi, gonna be attending MFF for 1st time and curious if some are going there too

Been kinda making posts too about trying to find someone to maybe room with or help out making a room group for getting a room, wondering if some would be up for that

PS also, this cat may also try to go to Galloping Ghost too since I heard it's close enough to the con, so if fighting games are a thing you like we could mix that up and also get food or draw together too

Area local here! Will definitely be at MFF for the whole time since we live in driving distance. I'm frustrated they rose the price again this year, but it should still be a good time. Unfortunately can't help with the room setup since we won't be rooming, wishing you the best with that.

Galloping Ghost is cool, we've been a few times. I wouldn't say it's a great place to do fighting game matchups, a lot of the machines are in questionable quality and it's super cramped, but it's very neat to get to see a lot of old machines. One of the only places in the US with an F-Zero AX machine, sadly last time we went it was completely nonfunctional.

Man, I got absolutely grilled at the border last time. Squeaky clean nothing even slightly questionable on me. It was a slightly terrifying experience, my reaction to which only spurred the customs guy to look harder! He kept asking about weed but we got to Michigan and weed was cheaper than it was in Canada, so he expected me to bring expensive weed to where it's cheaper and also legal? Makes no sense!

Oh, I'll be at MFF! And Galloping Ghost has been my Chicago white whale for a long time, though it's sad that they don't seem to be keeping the machines up to shape. I plan on volunteering (if they ever get back to me) but I'll be around otherwise! I'm totally up for draw time, that sounds like fun!

I'll also be attending! I usually go every year, mainly since I'm in St. Louis and it's one of the few cons I don't mind driving to distance-wise.

Although with how large it is now, I have had thoughts about skipping at times... I typically struggle to have good times at huge cons because there's *so much* going on that it can be overwhelming, along with the amount of people. That and it's hard to meet up with friends because everyone is trying to meet up with everyone else in just a few days.

But I usually end up going anyway, because it's *way* easier to take my fursuit in my car as opposed to an airplane haha, and I have more space to bring stuff home with me as well.
