How many of us critters are doing ham radio or citizens' band? I guess that counts as retro nowadays!
Been building some DIY radio electronics stuff every now and then, got legit a few years ago with a ham radio license. I'm doing it mostly to run a bush radio station with DIY stuff, see how far that signal goes. Just a few watts gets you around the world when the "weather" is right and that's wild.
