Severance [Spoilers Ahead]

Post by Cayman »

This show engrossed me through both seasons, both with its characters and its worldbuilding. If you've watched it, what are your thoughts? If not, you should watch it.

The work is mysterious and important.

Not much to say between seasons other than I really enjoy it. It's so fucked up and creative in all the right ways.

Season 1 goes so hard. Hooked me immediately.

Season 1 is one of the best pieces of TV entertainment in at least a decade.

I really enjoyed S2 as well but I do feel like the creative disagreements in the background could be seen in the show now and then - the focus was stretched into a couple of different directions, some characters were mainly just left on the background in bit roles and I felt it lacked a bit of consistence and coherency. Still really enjoyed it, mind you - and I imagine S3 will be tighter given it should have a somewhat less difficult development.

I do think that the fan dislike of S2's "Sweet Vitriol" is unfounded, though. It doesn't matter if it doesn't feature the main cast, learning the backstory and motivations of a primary antagonist ain't filler.
