i see VTuber Plus mentioned in the OP and i feel the need to mention arzolath (the person who made VT+) is kinda, deep deep into generated AI slop. confronted him about some brazen use of it a while back and got some (now-deleted) aggressive replies from him.
VNyan is a great alternative, been using it for a couple years now. even has VR tracking now too!

Update to this: We finally made the switch to Rahituber but only because trying to update one of our PNGtubers to have an intro/outro animation just straight up broke LandiTube. It took a little work but now that we understand the program better, we got the basic setup down on Rahituber...
