I had a mini CD-RW as a kid, which wasn't the same, but it's the closest I could get to the greatness of the MD in Serbia.

i know sony used to get a lot of shit for seemingly constantly coming up with proprietary formats for no reason but i think they're allowed this one in my imo. my MZ-N1 got so much use it was unbelievable and i very much miss having a remote you could clip onto the inside of your coat or whatever

i know i can get the same functionality with my phone and watch these days but like. i didn't have to look at the remote to flip through tracks or adjust volume or whatever lol

I had like a good year and change with my MD player before I got an iPod and it was a real slick piece of machinery



One of these bad boys to be specific. Couldn't tell you for the life of me WHAT I listened on it but I remember the experience was really cool.

I miss discs, dude!!! Nothing will ever match the feeling of getting to carry around tiny literal tablets of knowledge... mo matter how much time passes I will never stop pining for the tactile sensation of being able to physically handle your data
