I'm a solo game developer, I made a really short semi-game goodby letter to Cohost called Goodnight, Eggbug on itch about a year back. My big multi-year project is called Anza - it's a short horror/simulator hybrid about cryptids, the beauty and vulnerability of the sheer isolation of the desert backcountry, and working at a shitty convenience store.
I made hundreds of silly little food and drink products to stock the store with, an oven and heat lamps to prep pizza and wings in, and a hot dog roller grill with a dog degradation system. I took a bunch of USGS height data accurate to the meter, made a bunch of native plants, and hand-painted miles and miles of landscape with custom shader layers to make it all look as close to the real place it's based in as possible. It's all starting to come together into something I feel good about, and making it has been the next best thing to building a train room in the house.
I also play a lot of SF6, so HMU if you ever wanna play a set!
