It"s panda time

Hi! I'm Silver Alicorn! I'm a transfemme nonbinary furry-ish person with an affection for red pandas.

I'm into a lot of things but I guess the thing I'm best at is making music on the computer. My style is often described as "video game music" but I try to make stuff that sounds like chillwave, synthwave, progressive rock, jazz, and orchestral music. I started out making chiptunes for NES and Genesis, but I quickly branched out to analog synths & more realistic instruments. Though, it's partly for technical reasons I don't dabble in chiptunes anymore (I MUST work with a serious DAW and Genny doesn't work the way I want it to).

Aside from that, I'm also an amateur game developer. I'm working on a long term project called Orbital Dawn, which is about building space stations. Its visual style is very retro-inspired (think Virtua Racing) and it's also a vehicle for my music, naturally. I'll make a thread about it in the arts subforum.

I'm also into all the usual stuff like retrocomputing, optical discs, vintage hifi, yaknow. I'm pretty solidly into pinball and play both real tables and Pinball FX. I do some sewing with a focus on historical techniques. I like space a lot. Pretty much all I read is scifi. My favorite movie is 2001: A Space Odyssey. I'm trying to get into gunpla & other model kits.

I consider myself a furry but I'm not very public about it. More like I have a small menagerie of characters I like to get art of occasionally, and I appreciate furry art in general. Not sure what you'd call that but I figure I'm in good company.
