Re: Read Any Good Webcomics?
Just remembered we've COMPLETELY neglected to post some of our faves here: the works of Øyvind Thorsby. The art might not look appealing at first glance, but their fantastic. Haven't actually caught up on all of them but Hitmen for Destiny was incredibly good. We'll link the currently ongoing one: My Other Brain is an Idiot
In a world with various creatures having strange biologies, the Twaimin have two brains, which switch off when one goes to sleep. (Obviously this stuff appeals to us.) Hill is a Twaimin whose alter ego Valley has gotten them involved with a powerful criminal, and continuously escalates the situation is ridiculous ways every time he's awake. You're here for the slapstick, but there's going to be a lot of emotional heart too going on Thorsby's previous work.

Re: Read Any Good Webcomics?
This topic is an Indie webcomic gold mine. I wanted to quote some of you, but there is too much good stuff to talk about now
I guess I'll just post some of my beloved webcomics.

I guess I'll just post some of my beloved webcomics.
- "Your Son Has Never Felt More Alive" by Kausijuoppo is a Slice of Life webcomic about a closeted trans man. It's emotional and realistic, but still heart-warming and sweet, and it's not a dark and tragic story. "How Are You Supposed To Feel Like?" made by the same author, explores two friends and how they see and feel about their aromantic identities.
- "justice for nino." by Harriyanna Hook is a fan-comic. I have little interest in Miraculous Ladybug and watched some of it years ago, but this comic is still amazing, I didn't need too much knowledge about the show to enjoy it. It's targeted towards more mature audiences (Josei) and it's a relief, how it's still not going into extremely gory and sexual field to show how 'it's for da adultz now, kidz n' weaklingz DNI'. Idk what can I say w/o spoiers, the OG description says enough :]

Re: Read Any Good Webcomics?
I have furry webcomic suggestions!
Preeny Has to Repeat 6th Grade is insanely cute and funny and furry about a cat named Preeny. Nearly all the characters are adpots from DeviantArt, which means a lot of sparkledogs and sparklecats in the cast.
Arboreal is a webcomic with a conlang and cool animal world-building.
Nature of Nautre's Art is my standard answer to "What is your favorite webcomic?". The different arcs can be hit or miss but overall it's so good. Something about the MSPaint/pixel art hits me right in the emotions. I like recommending the April Fool's day comic Pika to people.

Holy heck I thought I was the only person who ever read that. 10%+ is still an all time banger.

Having finished the majority of the currently available content: I must reiterate that this has to be experienced. It's amazing. I'm almost considering making its own thread... just to proselytize it. I need other people to talk to about this. Hahaha.CoyAutumn wrote: Mon Jul 14, 2025 10:54 am Was recently introduced to something.
It's... kind of a webcomic? But also a visual novel. It's an online text and image based multimedia thing.

Feel free to yell at me if it doesn't count, but only after you've taken a look at it.
I'm not all the way through what's currently up, so no spoilers or anything.
I went in basically entirely blind and that's the experience I'd recommend, but for those of you who need a pitch:Hidden text.Also... The visuals are phenomenal. It's the only thing I've ever seen that makes a CGA palette work. A bold choice that's executed well where others have fumbled. Also the soundtrack is great. Seriously, I can't recommend this enough. look at it. now.

Re: Read Any Good Webcomics?
I've been reading Scoob and Shag, which started out as a shitposty parody of old cartoons, but evolved into a Bizarre Adventure with an overarcing plot, clever action, unclear allegiances, and compelling re-imaginings of so many classic characters.
Sadly the author/artist had to get a day job to stay afloat, so the releases have slowed significantly, I wish I could afford to support the Patreon.

Oh yeah, Scoob and Shag is great. I'd kinda just assumed it'd died given it's been so long without an update, though.LilyLopears wrote: Tue Aug 05, 2025 4:10 pm I've been reading Scoob and Shag, which started out as a shitposty parody of old cartoons, but evolved into a Bizarre Adventure with an overarcing plot, clever action, unclear allegiances, and compelling re-imaginings of so many classic characters.

Re: Read Any Good Webcomics?
Hello From Halo Head is a comic that I have been loving for a few years now. It has a gorgeous art style and impressively tight writing. The character interactions in the comic are just so damn good and often multifacted. It has an interesting overarching story that has been slowly unfolding over the entire lifespan of the comic, while also just managing to be really funny.
Not a gag a day comic you can just start from the most recent panel but I highly HIGHLY recommend giving it a full read if you have some free time.

KILL SIX BILLION DEMONS
Where do I even start with this one... it gives me strength. If you need strength, maybe read this. "Reach heaven through violence."
Skin Deep
A young woman discovers that mythical creatures have concealed themselves as humans after suddenly turning into a sphinx. This one gives a lot of attention to its wide cast of characters, and so I have a lot of creatures to swoon over...
Glad people mentioned Preeny, Softies, and corru. Would rec all of those, too.
Ava's Demon has also been updating steadily. I'm keeping up with that one, too. Love the art and color.

Oh hey, Arboreal. Forgot about that one for a bit. Big fan of how it does modern/tool-using era worldbuilding for non-humanoids, and also how the comic itself is written in its own conlang.rhubarb_nido wrote: Tue Jul 29, 2025 4:13 am I have furry webcomic suggestions!
