This is Jack. He was raised wealthy and inherited his father's business empire of nightclubs in Seoul. He's polite but ruthless, a chip on his shoulder but a yearning in his heart. He was raised as a girl by strict, traditional parents before realizing in his teens that he was trans. His father, wanting a male heir to take on the family business, accepted Jack's identity and taught him the ways of the family business.
Jack was made to study the violin since he was young, never enjoying the practice but showing a natural talent. As an adult, he's accomplished in playing, but resents having the talent forced onto him. A private type, he doesn't like to perform as much as he likes to pull strings, but still likes to practice to keep his skills sharp and remember his childhood. Managing a business empire, it's one of the few things he can use to express himself and have a moment of solitude. He likes playing Chopin.
As the young hotshot magnate of the city's hottest clubs, a lot of eyes are on Jack. He knows how to perform, how to say the right things, how to please investors and the local papers covering his endeavors. He'll smile for the cameras, but it drops quickly after. He's ruthless in his dealings, but knows how to delegate and manage his events well. Every act coming through, no matter how popular, is an opportunity, and playing each off right has made him a respected figure in the city's nightlife scene.
Something gnaws at him that money and attention can't fill. He's got it all, far more than the people he looks down on from his penthouse or the VIP suite in his clubs, but he doesn't feel fulfilled. What sort of people will he meet in the city, what's going to scratch that itch he feels?
