Hi hello I'm moe
I’ve been part of the furry fandom since around 2013. My parents were okay with it at first, but once a certain real estate tycoon turned politician entered the scene, things changed at home, and I’ve had to keep this part of myself more low-profile. Even so, I owe a lot to this community for helping me stay grounded while the world feels increasingly chaotic.
In early 2024, I developed a passion for preserving old or retired mascot costumes from sports teams, corporate events, and similar settings. I’ve always found something comforting about them. They’re designed to bring smiles, represent identities, and make people feel seen.
That overlap between mascots and fursuits really speaks to me. Both can give people a sense of connection, confidence, or simply a chance to exist in a way they might not be able to otherwise.
It’s hard for me to look at any of these suits and not feel some kind of nostalgia, admiration, or just respect for how much they can mean to someone. I think they deserve to be remembered, not just tossed aside once their "job" is done.
As of now, I've saved two former sports team mascots. One is a dinosaur named Chomp, who belonged to the Tupelo T-Rex hockey team in Mississippi. Despite being over 24 years old, Chomp is still in good condition, and I’m working with a fursuit maker to re-create the missing parts of his costume.
The other is B.B. the Wolf, former mascot of a summer collegiate baseball team in Connecticut called the Bristol Blues. I discovered him while going down a rabbit hole of minor league baseball teams and instantly fell in love with his Muppet-like aesthetic. Everything but the headpiece was damaged beyond repair around 2021, and since the team replaced B.B. with a completely new character, they were open to my request to find a new use for him.
While I’ll likely hold onto those two for personal reasons, I’m hoping to find second chances for many more once I have the space. I plan to pass those costumes on to local schools and organizations in my community. I think that’s a much better option than buying some cheaply made, overpriced wholesale costume that falls apart within months.
Mascot obsession aside, I enjoy retro gaming and computing, painting, film photography, and all sorts of other stuff.
Hopefully I can find some like-minded folks here!

G'daya and welcoooome to the forums Moe!!! ^^w^^//
An extremely intriguing hobby and a worthwhile one at that! The amount of history that goes behind some of these mascots would be pretty damn interesting, the ones you've shown so far especially hit that. This should be fantastic with ya here. ::3
