The modern Internet is rife with algorithms and “one-stop for everything” spaces meant to optimize your engagement and monopolize your time. We all congregate to sites and services, because “everyone is there,” only for policy changes, buyouts, public trading, or any other factor way outside of our influence to just completely ruin everything for us.
Permanence no longer exists, news and games fade in and out of the public consciousness within 2 weeks, as we all move on to the next “discourse.” Everything just goes too fast.
We can’t go back to a simpler time, and we can’t change the World, but we are surely not the only ones tired of how some things are? We’ve made this forum as a space where you can read at your pace, post at your pace, where things aren’t “immediate.” This forum isn’t meant to be big, or “successful” or “the place to be.” It’s just meant to be our place. And we hope it can be your place, too.
