Classic thread idea! Love that mug of yours!

Here's my WFH mug and my office working mug, respectively: a Gromit mug (but not THE Gromit mug - though I do have one of those ) and a rare REZQ mug themed after my own setting! I sold these back in like 2016, and there's a few kicking around!

It may not look like much, it's just a mug with the YouTube logo on, but it has a little story attached.

Back in 2010, YouTube began trialling a significant change to how the website looked and worked. Unlike what you'd expect of the site these days, it wasn't rolled out to some random group of people for A/B testing—it was a thing that you had to apply to become a tester for: the Cosmic Panda update.

I was one of the people who opted into it, and much to surprise, some time later, I received this mug all the way from the US.

I've been using that mug for 15 years now. I guess not many people have a YouTube-branded mug in their cupboards!

Actually just got gifted the McDonald's Batman glasses just the other day. I still want to get around to gathering old restaurant ashtrays, but these are still pretty cool. I used to have more cool mugs, but life (or the cat) got to them.

My friends got me the Team Fortress 2 team logos mug in like 2009, years before I even actually drank coffee. It's quite faded now. The "blood cup" is the Cafe of Broken Dreams logo, for the tf2 servers that became a general gaming community that became "us hanging out in our 30s" general purpose community. That one is actually my partners. A handful got made and given out to folks when a big meet up was arranged. Had it been a year later I'd have been local.

The funny part is my old roommates had their own blood cup, and when my partner moved in with me after they moved out, he brought his own. It's got a 2015 date on the bottom and it holding up a lot nicer than the TF2 one. These two usually get used together since they're similarly sized so coffee can be poured equally.
