Re: Big Bad Game-a-thon 2025

Oooh, this looks like something I'd like to watch. I hope somebody runs Tom & Jerry: the Movie for the Master System.

I don't think we've ever had that one but looking at a video of this... You might have accidentally given me my idea for "I have to submit one run every year, because I have ...

Re: games u feel no one remembers.... 🖳

god, I remember spending an embarrassing amount of time in Shining Soul II for the GBA

Same! But that was a couple years ago. I kind of ruined its speedrun by discovering if you get to the pirate ship and glitch-dupe the free +1 STR power wine you get 200 times, you can destroy the rest of the ...

Re: Summer Games Done Quick 2025 wrap-up

Thanks for the move. Complete brain fart on my part.

I've been eyeballing a comparison graph site and it looks like we might barely blurp up to $2.7m.

We ended up with a total around $2.46m and missed the final incentive. I was surprised until someone pointed out the big $100k+ bomb "Twitch ...

Re: Summer Games Done Quick 2025 wrap-up

I've been eyeballing a comparison graph site and it looks like we might barely blurp up to $2.7m. I don't recall a big massive drop from one of the sponsors like they usually do at the end of the event this time either.

Usually between GDQ donating overage, and Twitch doing something, and such they ...

Oh yeah. I'm not a huge UT/DR fan myself but I'm always here for the energy of the finale. It always gets me revved up.

Revved up to what? I don't know. I always leave a GDQ asking myself "well what now?"

I grabbed the Gen 8 menu sprites and scaled them down to smiley-able sizes. I'll use Jolteon for sure; dunno about the rest. I can do the other eeveelutions if desired.

Edit: Snipped the temp images since they're smileys now

Big Bad Game-a-thon 2025

Full disclosure: I am the marathon chair and technical lead for BBG. So this is kind of an ad but also I'm 1,000% fine with people having frank discussions about the event; please do let me know what we get right and wrong and such!

Big Bad Game-a-thon is a yearly online speedrun marathon ...

Re: The Sega Master System Megathread

I recently played the SMS Jurassic Park and I was surprised that it's a completely unique game in the franchise. Well it's the same as the Game Gear, but that's how SMS goes.

Oddly the only difference between SMS and GG is SMS uses an Alan Grant sprite and GG uses.... I dunno who that is supposed ...

Re: Summer Games Done Quick 2025 wrap-up

One of the highlights for me was Blue Prince, as well as Sonic Advenutre 2 for some reason. I dunno, I just liked the vibes.

SA2 is always an amazing time. I've got a friend group who does Archipelago multi-randos using the same rando they used, and it can do some wild madcap stuff and I love ...
