Re: Cyclists

I am in a way glad that residential blocks in my city have less car traffic than other roads do. Two roads near me have 30MPH speed limits 💀

Anyway I've been thinking about upgrade options from the Nishiki Tamarack and have determined that the Trek Dual Sport 2 might be more practical for my needs ...

Re: Cyclists

I don't live in a particularly great area for biking either. There's very limited bike infrastructure (no sharrows, sparsely-placed bike lanes in the most random stretches of road, which were not modified at all to accommodate both vehicle traffic and bike traffic while keeping both safe, and the ...

Cyclists

When I was young I was a pretty avid cyclist and regularly rode along the Blackstone River Greenway, or at least the Rhode Island parts of it. Physically, things went bad for me after 15 and now in my 30s I've recovered enough to ride again. Then YouTube randomly recommended my a video by Berm Peak ...

Re: Metroid series

Was thinking about it just now and it's kinda wild how Prime 4 missed the entire Switch 1 generation, after being announced for it during the console's early days.

ftr, I do not believe that it was originally being developed by Namco Bandai, due to the "source", Liam Robertson, being a ...

Re: Nintendo Switch/Switch 2 Megathread - NX Gon Give it to Ya!

Managed to nab a Switch 2 pretty recently, got a MicroSD Express, Cyberpunk 2077 + Donkey Kong Bananza plus a few accessories from Savage Raven on the way now. This thing's pretty neat I think.

I remember first hearing about Dread during lunch in middle school.

I was 12. It came out when I was in my late 20s.

Re: Metroid series

honestly... I could believe it. Maybe it'd make the story more salvageable.

I have heard about a mod that tries to make it better through... The Geek Critique, I think it was? idr what it's called, but I think that while you might be able to salvage the gameplay there's not much that can be done to ...

Re: Metroid series

It's Character Assassination: The Game. Samus was always depicted as being incredibly independent to an extreme fault, regularly turning down her CO Adam Malkovich's orders when serving the Galactic Federation military, and always going in on missions alone. Suddenly, she's depicted as subservient ...

Re: Metroid series

Frankly, I'd be fine if the gameplay for the 2D games stayed similar to Dread, as I feel Dread represents the 2D series at its most refined. 3D, Prime without a doubt, because the last time they tried experimenting with the gameplay of a 3D game we got Other M. That is to this day the only ...

Re: Metroid series

I love this series so much and wish the release gaps were... less frequent.

god, same.
I think that's where Nintendo's almost pathological need to innovate and think of new gameplay hooks to "surprise and delight" players is actively a detriment, because that then leads to long gaps of ...

Re: Metroid series

Fusion was my first game in the series, btw. I was introduced to it by a classmate in 2003 and after school a few days later came home from Toys r' Us with a new GBA SP and copy of Metroid Fusion. What I didn't realize at the time was that Fusion was, at the time, the end of the series timeline ...

The SA-X is scary until you realize that it's entirely scripted, and its AI is rather terrible. I remember being scared of it as a kid until I went on metroid2002 and saw videos of it being stupid lol

I am incredibly cuddly by nature, and I find so much enjoyment in comforting and caring for my friends, like how someone would find comfort in a plush. Therefore, I am literally a plushie.
