This is a board from a Gandalf data set manufactured in 1973. Terminal equipment connector on the lower left, power and phone line on the upper side, signal LEDs on the left. Probably a Bell 103 standard.

How many of us critters are doing ham radio or citizens' band? I guess that counts as retro nowadays!

I've got an old mechanical keyboard from a 5.25 diskette era laptop - sadly just the keyboard. Hoping to hook it up with a microcontroller and a "big" LCD display for use as a general purpose terminal.

So far the largest displays I've found are 40x4 character based ones (about 40x150mm display area ...

I'll have to rummage through the wardrobe a bit, but I think I got a Gandalf stashed somewhere.
If I find it, I'll take some photos!

It would be neat to try it on the air at some point, too.
