Re: Interesting Intro Cinimatics
So one of my favourite intros was the one for the official Euro 2000 football game that I had for the PS1. DJ Paul Oakenfold walks into a darkened room, starts up his turntable ("HELLo PAUL"), transforms Lothar Matthäus into a low-poly CGI model, and then scores a goal. Incredibly charming and the ...

Re: JoJo's Bizarre Adventure (and other manga by Araki)
I really got into JoJo around the time David Production released their anime adaptation of Stardust Crusaders in 2014-2015, which seems to have been a tipping point for the franchise's international popularity. There was a LOT of memes and in-jokes all over social media back then (plus one of my ...

Adding myself to the 'kicking Win11 to the curb' train and proud to say that I primarily use Linux Mint for everyday computing! It's been kind of a rough history though..
I first got into Linux through an old version of Ubuntu in '09 and I was in my late teens at the time. I'd started using a ...

Two more programs that I've found useful!
[*] KolourPaint - The default Drawing program that comes with Mint left a lot to be desired (cropping is incredibly fiddly because it will crop the image inside the canvas, but not the canvas itself). Luckily I came across this open-source clone of ...

Hi BridleTimeout, glad that you've joined us! I've actually only seen the first series of Friendship is Magic and that was back when it was becoming an internet phenomenon in the early 2010s. Aside from the occasional dud episode, I remember really enjoying it, and my favourite ponies were Rarity ...

After a week of using Linux Mint (Cinnamon Edition), I'm really happy that I finally went through with setting up this dual-boot system. I actually get excited when I switch on my computer now, knowing that I'm going to have a good session and won't have to wait ages for everything to finish loading ...

Re: Linux General Thread
so yesterday, out of boredom, I decided to give Linux Mint a try on my small mini-computer that I still had lying around.

and not gonna lie, I think I already kinda prefer Cinnamon over KDE Plasma (which is what I went with on my bazzite installation on my big ...

Another bug that I found was that whenever I woke up my computer from a suspended state (i.e. after 30 minutes of inactivity by default), my monitor would stay blank and state that it wasn't receiving a signal. Even though I could hear my computer whirring, I couldn't see anything unless I manually ...

My fursona is literally a horse, so he'd have to use his mouth for basically everything. Maybe he would type using a special keyboard with extra-extra-large keys that he can slam with his hooves, and play video games with an Xbox Adaptive Controller .

Switching to Linux for the first time!
With Microsoft killing off support for Windows 10 in two months' time, I finally took the plunge this week and set up a dual-boot with Windows 10 and Linux Mint on my nine-year-old home computer. Despite working perfectly fine and having plenty of free space left on my hard drive, the fact that I ...

Re: AW SHIT, HERE COMES PAC-MAN
Weirdly enough, my main exposure to Pac-Man is through Ms. Pac-Man Maze Madness for the PS1. It's a fairly decent platformer where you run around mazes, collect dots, solve block puzzles, and sometimes get to eat ghosts. There was also a Bomberman-style multiplayer mode where everyone ran around a ...

Re: If your OC had a boss battle, what would it be like?
My fursona's boss battle consists of a one-on-one race around a track with heavy traffic while pumping music plays. Five laps, no weapons, first to cross the finish line wins. Basically, this energy:

I was able to successfully find a (brand new, sealed!) copy of Coup de Pouce Espagnol, and I’ve uploaded it and recorded footage of it. I’ve got a copy of Coup de Pouce Allemand on the way. This will mean that all the French versions will be preserved soon!
Now all the versions that are missing ...

Re: Linux General Thread
I'm planning to move to Linux Mint in the coming months ahead of Microsoft killing support for Windows 10. For a start, my hardware isn't officially supported by Windows 11 so it would be hugely wasteful to get rid of a PC that works perfectly fine. Secondly, Windows 11 has yet to offer anything ...

Let's talk about our favourite covers, especially those which you feel are underrated or surpass the original version.

Re: RIP Ozzy Osbourne
I'll always remember that time Ozzy Osbourne appeared as himself in Brutal Legend. He's the shop NPC who sells you upgrades for your car, so it's not a huge role, but his performance has a terrific sense of dry humour ("Oh, me? Oh, I'm nobody. I'm just the Guardian of Metal.")

I played Undertale in January 2016 and it became my main obsession for the rest of that year. It truly is a masterpiece in characterisation, genre deconstruction, humour, soundtrack, and emotional payoff. There were times where I had to stop playing for a few days because of how overwhelming it got ...

What made it even better is that it included a Remix mode where you could create your own custom tracks by placing down samples down, adjust the tempo, and add reverb/stutter, and then you could play back your own levels and upload/download them from the online servers that existed at the time. I ...

I would like to recommend The Uncle Who Works At Nintendo , a text-based physiological/cosmic horror and my favourite twine game ever. It's the late 90s and you're eleven years old.
