Re: The FFXIV Thread - Show me your WoLs

I recently swapped from female Mi'qote over to male Viera, so you'll have both - I tend to switch between those two a bit. I'm a fantasia addict, y'see~

Re: Star Trek 🖖

Enterprise's theme tune is a good song, actually. Enterprise S3&4's theme tune is even better (if absolutely dissonant with the themes of the season).
I agree. It's not traditional, but it nevertheless manages to encapsulate the hope and spirit of Star Trek, especially Enterprise. I completely ...

Re: Welcome to LEGO Island!

I loved the LEGO Island games. I think I remember playing one of them on PC, but primarily I played the GBC version. I think there was only one GBC game in the series?

I never did think of how ambitious it was for its time. A fully open, 3D world with activities before many of todays big franchises ...

Re: Mystery Dungeon games!

I only got into the MD games with Switch, starting with Chocobo and then Pokémon and oh my god I loved both. They manage to scratch both the Final Fantasy and the Pokémon itch at the same time without being overly complicated.

... Man, I want to replay them now.

Re: Playdate, that one console with a crank

It does look very interesting. Almost somewhere between an art project and a console, which probably also explains the price point. I can't say I've heard all that much about anyone developing for it, though?

Re: The Steam Deck Thread - Almost Everything is a Handheld Game Now

I may have ordered an LCD Steam Deck after selling my PS5 and a bunch of games >_>

I've been looking into it more and more recently, and I determined that OLED, for me, is just "a nice thing to have, but not essential", especially after I ended up barely playing the Switch OLED in handheld mode ...

Re: Crawlers, Blobbers, and Procedural Death Labyrinths - Let's Die in a Dungeon!

Do we consider Dwarf Fortress to be in the same category? At least its Adventure mode? Because it has some rather wicked fun ideas it plays around with.

(I will also always appreciate the changelogs for these kinds of games, as they often end up being unintentionally hilarious. I remember Dwarf ...

Re: The Steam Deck Thread - Almost Everything is a Handheld Game Now

I absolutely adore my SteamDeck and I use it almost every day - and it's admittedly for a very lazy reason. Sometimes I just want to chill in bed or in a chair that isn't my computer chair, and the SteamDeck is perfect for that. Hell, sometimes I want to relax in bed for a few hours before I fall ...

Re: Why are you the way you are

The journey of my fursona is kind of... A little confusing, maybe?

I used to be a grey and orange wolf way back when I first joined the fandom. A few years ago, I wanted to try something new and got a snow leopard/lynx hybrid designed. That lasted a few years, then I changed it up again and ...

I recently added a nardoragon to my collection, and I am so happy with how the textures turned out.

I was talking about this on fedi a couple days ago, actually. We have declined submissions in the past because the vibes were wrong. If you're sitting here watching a marathon about kusoge, I have to believe it's because you want to see weird unusual stuff and people enthusiastic about it. Rage ...

Re: Big Bad Game-a-thon 2025

I absolutely adore bad and weird games, so this is very much of interest to me! I also appreciate the discouragement of negativity. Anyone can tear down an awful game - I like to hear people actually point out what they enjoy about it instead.

Gave it a follow on Twitch and BlueSky - I'll be ...

Re: Now Playing...

I've slowly been making my way through the Director's Cut of Death Stranding . I poured a good few hours into the non-Director's Cut edition, but I never actually finished it. Hopefully this time around I will! At the very least I'm having a blast with it, and I love all the little crossovers from ...

Re: VR Gameing

I highly recommend the A Fisherman's Tale games. They're a little on the shorter side in terms of playthrough time, so if money is a concern I would wait for a good sale or bundle. They're perspective focused puzzle games where you look "down" into a model of the lighthouse you're in, and you can ...

Re: Strange New (virtual) Worlds: The VR Chat World Megathread

Cosmoria is a virtual spaceflight museum. It's been a while since I last visited so it has probably received some updates, but I remember it being really impressive with to-scale scans of various vehicles used in different space programs, as well as a demonstrated timeline of launches.

Idle Home ...
