I actually just got the CDi core set up last night now that it's on update_all, it's genuinely amazing how far the project has come after I got mine a couple years back, when the PS1 was considered impossible let alone all the other 5th gen consoles now available.

Funny enough from what I've seen the strat these days is to get a consolized MVS with the Universal BIOS installed so you can toggle between MVS and AES modes then either use the arcade cartridges or alternatively one of those big multicarts. It's still hella expensive but it's more affordable ...
