Re: All Time Favorites

Squarepusher's Go Plastic is an album that taught me the joy of letting jittery, harsh, playful, electric noise do things to your brain and still lives close to my heart. All made without the use of a PC, just fun button n' knob boxes.

Re: games u feel no one remembers.... 🖳

My pick for "90's PC game mostly forgotten to time" is Hardwar , an Elite-type 'space' sim set in a series of crater cities on Titan after everything's gone to shit and corporations and gangs scrounge to survive. They got The Designer's Republic and Warp Records on board for art and music, so if you ...

Re: PlayStation 2 - A console to surpass PS1

Where do you even start with the PS2? My favorite bargain bin gem I've ever found for it is S.L.A.I., the sequel to the XBox game Phantom Crash. Remote controlling customizable mechs from the comfort of your home for fun and profit and also sometimes people get murdered IRL while doing this and you ...

Re: Marathon

I will say, co-op multiplayer via Aleph One works quite well and is a really fun way to play through the series. Can make some of those combat encounters less (or more) hairy. Also trying to puzzle through the mazes of the later games together makes them a lot more tolerable.

Re: The Co-Op McShooty Thread

For some reason in the old multiplayer cheats were always enabled, so you could jumpscare your friends by spawning a rumbler in the chemical storage closet for a chuckle.

Re: Marathon

I love the classic Marathon games and their high level of learning and execution demanded just to finish levels.

I will, however, provide zero apologia for Colony Ship For Sale Cheap. Just grenade jump that level.

Re: Now Playing...

I picked up Project Silverfish recently, which is a low-poly, furry STALKER type shooter. Haven't put a lot of time into it but the mood it creates even with just very blocky art is incredible.

Re: The Sega Master System Megathread

We had a SMS growning up with a few games, including the ones that used the 3D shutter glasses! Trouble is, I don't have any depth perception so I didn't understand what was supposed to be special about them.
