featuring everyone's favorite almost-a-furry Sean Chiplock as Bubsy...
...and featuring this excellent line of dialogue
go check it out, in my experience it is actually really good!

I played two levels of the demo on the Steam Deck earlier today, and it seems pretty good so far! if they don't drop the ball further in, this is gonna be a genuinely solid 3D platformer!
I haven't played any of Bubsy's prior games, and I don't know if I ever will be, but I am definitely aware of their infamy. I still think it would be pretty neat if Bubsy got a game that's genuinely considered good, tbh.
when it came to the performance on Steam Deck, it defaults to the "Low" graphics preset in the settings, and imo it still looks pretty good. the two levels also ran at a stable 60 fps for me, which is important for a platformer where quick reflexes are required.
Also, I still think that there probably must've been a furry on the dev team, because I still kinda get the feeling that they specifically tried to make Bubsy of all characters look more fuckable xD and considering all the fanart I've seen of him on social media since the game's reveal, they may have actually succeeded.

I played through the demo and I think it's gonna be a solid game, but it's looking like the full game is much shorter than I thought it would be? It looks like 15 levels total, if the demo "locked" levels are anything to go by? Of course, nothing has been confirmed yet.

I found the demo to be very 6/10. Good but not remarkably good.
Felt like a pretty standard 3D platformer, not really bringing anything new to the table. Normal movement feels like Mario and hairball movement feels like Sonic. Would have appreciated an attempt to try something new and be more unique and innovative.

I enjoyed the demo a lot! The gameplay wasn't anything too special, but the demo only one world and most of the modifiers are locked, so it's not really clear how much it builds on itself.
The writing is fun and I really liked the visual design of the world, the stitched-together look is neat. There were a few rough edges mechanically, it felt like collision detection wasn't all there, however it's a 2026 game, so that should hopefully be ironed out by release.
The dev has a good track record with Demon Turf, so I'm cautiously optimistic.
