It's difficult to find places on the Internet that are neither so dead that you don't have anyone to talk to, nor so active that your posts become a briefly seen message in a constant wave of posts and you can't establish yourself in the community. Hoping I can find some community here.

I'm a pixel artist and I like making games for older consoles, and I'm pretty sure I have a SNES/Genesis special interest (though I do think newer games are better designed and more fun most of the time; homebrew gives me the opportunity to give older consoles games with modern game design.)

I also love making characters and worlds and roleplaying, and I'd love to find other people like that; non-ttrpg sfw furry roleplay is an incredibly niche thing and it seems that you either fit into the few small communities that I can find or you don't (and I don't because I don't like sci-fi, and that's most of what's out there apparently!!).

I love cuteness, magical girls, mascot aesthetics, and contemporary fantasy. I like chiptune and jazz fusion. I'm a fan of Care Bears, MLP, Cardcaptor Sakura, Kirby, Animal Crossing, Splatoon, and many other things.

Welcome to the forums! This place is still new, so I don't know how fast/slow it's going to be, but I hope you get something nice out of your time here.

I've tried enough "hey let's make a forum, in contrast to how the modern web works" forums that I've lost count, and they've all gotten very quiet within half a year, so I don't think there's a risk of it getting too fast at least. If nothing else, maybe in that burst of initial activity I can make some friends.
