While going through my PS1 games lately I've been watching intro cinimatics to the games and shared one I watched to a friend. His reaction was a perfect "THEY 3D PRINTED THE PERFECT WRESTLER!" which just perfectly explains the intro to WCW Mayhem.
So I would like to see other goofy or interesting intros you all like or want to share!

Alright, time for some glorious PS1 intros
Rising Zan: Samurai Gunman
Soul Blade/Edge
Hokuto no Ken (can't remember the subtitle) - It's the intro of the show but PSXified
Rugrats: Search for Reptar - Same deal as above...but not as cool...
Time Crisis - Technically from the arcade version - This intro lives rent-free in my head

Call of Duty: Ghosts might have been a wash as a game but this intro cinematic for the campaign will always stick with me as one of the best I've ever seen.

Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriot is a game that polarises me to no end because of how the game's themes, story beats, attempts to wrap up so many loose ends, questionable way of handling female characters, and of course cutscene lengths that rival full cinematic films, the game's intro cinematic (Ignore the one cinematic that you are recommended to watch before all of this, that can only be found by checking a cutscene menu, before starting a new game, and not like...Right as you start the game.) is something that set the tone in a really gripping way. The whole shift of war with how technology being infused with every soldier to make sure they are kept in check while subduing emotion, this cutscene made the game felt like you were in for a ride that was going to be potentially on par with Metal Gear Solid 2 and/or 3.
A bonus mention is the really surreal but well-done fake, live-action commercials that play before you see the above cutscene! They do a great job of achieving world-building that presents to the player how war and commodity have gotten so melded into each other, that the whole thing is just downright dystopian.
I do like the fact that David Hayter, the voice actor of Snake for the franchise up until Metal Gear Solid 5, plays himself in the first commercial of this video. A silly little bit of a genuinely good intro. ::B

Sometimes I wonder if MGS4's 'Snake smokes as many cigarettes as he can' looping animation when the game needed to first install (and then again when the trophy support and multiplayer killing update came out) should be counted as an intro cinematic, since you see it before all the commercials and stuff.

There is like, 10 layers of intro in the whole goddamn game, it is ridiculous! XXD
I have not played this, but I do just love how unbelievably edgy this game looks. Truly a special experience.

Death Crimson and Ancient Roman have some wild intros. Both always make me laugh; I love em.

So one of my favourite intros was the one for the official Euro 2000 football game that I had for the PS1. DJ Paul Oakenfold walks into a darkened room, starts up his turntable ("HELLo PAUL"), transforms Lothar Matthäus into a low-poly CGI model, and then scores a goal. Incredibly charming and the trance music is incredibly hype:

One of my favorites is still Nier Gestalt's intro, which starts off very strong and then spoils a lot of key scenes from the game, but it doesn't matter because there's no way to understand them without context:
Then for the good campy stuff, I really like Silent Bomber's intro (I would have posted Rising Zan but Lolo beat me to it):

The intro to Mech Commander remains one of my faves to this day.
