The Chase VGM - The (Twice) Weekly VGM Quiz Show

This is not mine own stream, however I must do my due diligence and advertise for a stream and community I participate in on the regular.

It's The Chase VGM! Loosely styled after the general knowledge trivia game show found in the UK and Some Other Places, the show pits the Twitch audience against a group of highly-skilled VGM guessers known as the Chasers (but not the bad kind of Chasers).

The main portion of the show consists of four rounds of five tracks. Everyone watching is free to play by sending their guess of the game and track (one guess per track) to a bot to accumulate points in the round. At the end of the round, a player is selected to move on to the final chase--but the chaser will also be guessing. With each correct guess by the chaser, the minimum threshold of points to qualify for selection increases.

In the final chase, the four selected players go head to head against the chasers. This part is closer to the Beat The Chasers variant of The Chase, where each team has a clock counting down while they attempt to guess tracks playing one after another. Each correct guess switches the active clock, and the first team to run out of time loses.

It's fast-paced and exciting and a lot of fun, and all of the points you earn throughout the episode are added to your personal total on an overall scoreboard. With enough points, you can submit a soundtrack of your own liking to the playlist and share your beloved VGM with the wider community.

The Chase VGM runs every Thursday at 8pm and Sunday at 9am (both times UTC+8), and tends to go for about two hours. It's a great way to discover new VGM and test your own knowledge, and we'd love to see new players join in!
