marzheecomic (we're making a webcomic)

hi!! we're working on a webcomic that we are only tentatively calling marzheecomic. featuring marzhee, noted sad alien (they're called "templates" as they are all clones) who really can't catch a break. we jokingly call this project "making an alien cry: the webcomic" in reference to Prequel. it's also significantly influenced by homestuck. we're largely wanting to express feelings on alienation, capitalism, disability and finding your way when there is no path that is well-tread that takes you where you need to go.
The aforementioned Marzhee. As a venturist, she's like a prospector who is about to quit her job.
Marzhee's problem is that she is disabled via a lack of psionic ability, visualized by her lacking horns. She has essentially been assigned to a generally unnecessary, dead-end, dangerous job to put her to work; meanwhile, the Organizer(essentially, the landlord) of her habitation tower, which she is preparing to move out of, has used their higher position in society--which is, on this planet, determined by a "Role Importance Scale"--to keep marzhee from accessing what little infrastructure exists to get her a new role elsewhere(a band-aid solution, even then).
alienated from people, work, and her setting, marzhee decides to forsake her role-supplied cell and risk homelessness to move from the dark side of tidally-locked Variata to the bright side to live with saffova, a Role Importance Level (RIL) 3 template with a sought-after and highly mentally strenuous psionic ability. (normally, templates do not live together. (it's gay. it's very gay.))

we also have a proof of concept (and something we'd like to eventually work in in some form) for an early part of the comic. it's a whole page, though, so we'll just put it behind a link in case you want to read that!
we hope you all find this interesting!! this is all still quite early, and many things are subject to change, but we are happy with what we have so far. we may post more in this thread as we make it, and would love to discuss the webcomic with yall if anyone is interested. thank you <3333
