we have never seen a site with such a severe degree of nerdity within. we're afraid it may potentially be terminal. we cant fuckin believe it!!!

anyway, saluton!!!!

we are bhijn and myr, a queer-ass system of 2 (that is two whole nerds for the price of one!), and our flavor of neurospiciness has us on antipsychotics

our shared fursona is a vampiric synth (of the vadersan variety; it's the critter in our avatar!), and we both dearly miss the forum days. our first reaction to seeing a link to this place was a resounding "FUCK YEAH"

bhijn (hi that's me typing!!) is a vampiric wyvern-y kobold, using sie/hir pronouns (alternatives include it/its, she/her, he/him, and they/them)! sie's omnisexual, aromantic, and genderfluid, and is fond of all things gremlinic

myr is a fluffy catdragon! it uses it/its pronouns (alternatively they/them)! it's asexual, panromantic, and completely agender! it keeps me on a leash so no one else has to

we allow our typing styles to differentiate us in most cases! i type without much care for capitalization, punctuation, keeping sentences concise, etc. Meanwhile, Myr prefers terseness, and types far more formally than I usually do (similar to this very sentence).

we generally prefer sharing accounts between us, as we prefer to be treated as interchangeable by those who aren't close friends!



we're a UX designer by day, and a wearer of many hats by night! programming, gaming, and language-learning are our biggest hobbies! we find ourself in many different communities, so some folks here may or may not recognize us off the bat (hello to those who do)!

programming: we're most experienced with C# and lua. we hate both. our favorite lang is zig, but we rarely ever have opportunity to actually use it for anything practical! we use emacs by choice (fairly standard doom-emacs, specifically) and don't hesitate at all to kick and scream when we're forced to use any other IDE, especially when the IDE we're forced to use lacks VIM bindings.

gaming: rhythm games, simracing, and shooters are our favorite genres! though our favorite games span an extremely wide variety of genres, with the likes of trackmania and dwarf fortress being very high up there on our favorites.

language-learning: we're currently focused on learning four languages simultaneously: русский, 日本語, español, kaj esperanton! we've also dabbled in many other languages over the years. do we care that learning that many is inefficient for learning? nope. are we fluent in anything other than english? hell no! but do we have a lot of fun staying on the grind? hell yeah we do; having linguistic things finally click is like a drug to us! one day we'll be fluent in at least one of those languages! one day.



all that said!! we're lookin forward to seeing where this forum ends up going! this place has immaculate vibes right from the get-go
