I will post the thread about Playstation 2. Only I can fly high enough

Sony's 2000 followup to the wildly successful Playstation 1, the PS2 killed the Dreamcast stone dead on release, is still the best-selling console of all time and had games coming out for it until November 2013, the same year the PS4 came out

These days there's an active homebrew scene for the PS2 with a small barrier for entry, softmoddable with an exploited memory card. The Open PS2 Loader homebrew software supports loading games from HDD, USB, Memory card, or Ethernet with good compatibility

Got a PS2 for my 12th birthday with Dark Cloud, Soulcalibur 2, Crash: Wrath of Cortex, and Seek & Destroy. To say my life was changed forever would be an understatement.

People should absolutely play Seek & Destroy. It's a Choro Q universe game where you play as a talking tank in a world of other talking vehicles (think Disney's Cars but no real anthropomorphism, just chibi vehicles who are alive). It's delightfully weird and fun.

I think I've seen someone stream a choro q game before and I was utterly bewildered

Where do you even start with the PS2? My favorite bargain bin gem I've ever found for it is S.L.A.I., the sequel to the XBox game Phantom Crash. Remote controlling customizable mechs from the comfort of your home for fun and profit and also sometimes people get murdered IRL while doing this and you've gotta solve that mystery while you're grinding for cold hard credits.

And oh my god the entire music selection is licensed and Of The Era.
