I'm still gonna keep working on it, but 2CC is the best I managed for the month on Super Ghouls 'n Ghosts before Covid sidelined my efforts. Still really proud to get that much down, given I had never even beaten the game before starting this. Excellent revenge on a game I've owned since I was a kid but never was able to get very far in.
Really nice job taking it that far though! I'm massively into the GnG series and have played all of them a ton, but Super Ghouls 'n Ghosts is the only one I haven't fully 1CCed yet actually, probably due to the length. The length, the slower pace, the stronger memorization focus, and how awful the bracelet weapon is all made it feel like the hardest of the original four to credit-feed through back when I first played them, so even just beating it at all, much less with only one continue, is pretty sick! If you know the game well enough to 2CC it, you'll definitely get the full clear down without too many more attempts.

Things did not go well this month, so I can't put in the time to prep for a Hardest 1CC like I would have liked to. I still wanted to participate, though, so I just used the refresh of playing on Hardest to just go for an Easy 1CC instead since I knew that was in my capability, and I managed to do it without dropping a life too.
Some may say Random Nom really phoned it in, and yeah they're probably right, but I'm trying to be nicer to myself! And if we ever do something like this again I can pick it back up next time. Probably.

Congrats on the 1CCs and the 2CC, y'all. It's impressive regardless of circumstances/difficulty.

Grats to everyone that felt like they achieved something! I was trying to get Mushihimesama Original 1CC last night but furthest I made it was stage 5 midboss. It's overall not too bad of a game, but there are a couple sections where there are fast random bullets, so it's easy to get sniped.
I feel like I'll have the Mushi original soon!

Nice! Mushihimesama is one of my favorite Cave games; I had a lot of fun going for the clear in that some years back. I really love how it and its sequel kind of split the difference between the contemporary Cave style and the high-speed, simpler patterns of classic shooters in their "original" modes. Mushihimesama Futari in particular is one of the coolest shooters; I wish it had a modern port (ideally PC) because I
really think it'd serve as an excellent onboarding game for getting non-fans to understand the appeal of shmups.
The first game is a really cool and memorable game too. Love how it plays on the shmup battleship stage trope by having you dismantle a giant battle-bug in stage 3, and the awesome visuals and serene music of stage 4.

Yeah, I love Mushi! Original 1CC is something I've been attempting on and off for a few years, but finally wanted to get it down. I have my 360 and a copy of Futari on my desk right now. I play that one instead every now and then. I got the 1CC in Arrange, although that was pretty easy.
Update: Got the Original 1CC!

Very nice job, and enjoyable watch! Futari's soundtrack is so strong. I think both games really are pretty much the platonic ideal of bullet hell shooters, with Futari being even cooler than the first. I've gotten really close to taking out the final boss in Futari's original mode but haven't quite nailed it yet. Sometime though...
