Tyrian kinda has it structured as is as a boomer shooter (EPs structure/sets of levels) and the rando opens up all 5 EPs and you get some of the mobs that normally drops some extra stuff drop your checks there and they let you redo levels too
The game had a shop between levels, if you finish a level they open a shop for the level you finished and you can access/buy some extra rando checks there (can be gun upgrades, armor upgrades, shields or even other levels)
It's absolute magic and somehow works wonderfully, legit crazy multiworld stuff
