beeps wrote: Wed Jul 16, 2025 7:04 am Ahaha, where to start.

https://beeps.website is my personal website and blog

https://beeps.gay is my links site, the domain also hosts the file dump where a bunch of other random microsites go

https://bloatware.xyz [CONTAINS NSFW] is the website for the headmate that writes stuff, which is itself actually six websites in a trenchcoat

https://bundle.software is the website for our whole system

Also own like a dozen more domain names for side projects but I guess I wouldn't consider those 'personal websites' really.
Big enjoy with the colors. A nice creature site with nice creature art =P

I've had Pokyfriends now for at least a decade now I think? It's had a few wipes and rewrites over the years but has settled into its current format once I started using a database for it.

It's a very full (but not entirely) archive of basically any old project of mine I can find, a gallery of art I've gotten going back to like 2003, browser-playable versions of ZZT games I made, and now is mostly used as a small personal blog since Cohost went away. RSS for it too!

Got a few old links that are dead that I gotta trim though.

Oh hey I have one of those "websites"!
I made it following cohost's closure to have somewhere else to post my writing.
It was pretty fun to make overall~

You can find it here

I've been meaning to get a gallery onto my website and I may just inspire myself from yours! It's very good :3

I love writing music reviews as well as reading other people's music sites, blogs, RateYourMusic reviews, etc (until all those dried out...). I've had some blogs of my own over the years and outside those I'd post more considered thoughts on RYM, but there was always that nagging thought/obsession at the back of my head that I wanted something personal and something more connected, where all my ramblings weren't just individual items scattered across someone else's way of organising things, but rather they formed some sort of a unified vision or catalogue of thoughts. A few years ago I learned about Neocities and then immediately a light bulb lit up above my head.

So now I've got my personal music reviews site, where I go through my thoughts on my music collection in a wholly biased and subjective manner. In order to keep myself neat and organised I have a rota system set up where I review discographies in order, but in order to keep things varied for myself I typically juggle a couple of discographies and a few random things at any given time.

You can check it out here if you want.

Also in the aftermath of Cohost's death I set up a blog for a place for longer-form thoughts that don't have a space anywhere else.

I've also been thinking about setting up another personal website as just something more, well, personal - an image gallery of commissions separate from e.g. FA and other miscellaneous forms of cataloguing and digital footprinting in a space I could call my own. But I don't have any time as it is so it's still just a thought!

Gotta say, it's been suuuuch a delight to click on these websites in this topic and seeing everyone's personalised, unique, individual places! foxkawaii

Oh, hey, same theme! I tweaked some of the background colors a bit, but it's a great base. Here's my blog. It gets maybe five percent of what I write these days, but a lot of what I write is letters, scraps, fanfic, letters I actually end up sending, bloodletting, various more personal journalings, other things that aren't fit for it.

Still sad about Cohost. It was nice while it lasted. I'd be more at peace with websites and communities having finite lifespans if certain pillars of the modern Internet would have the decency to roll over and die already. But I was never one for permanence.

Does "repeatedly hit WordPress in the head to get it to work how I want" count? 'cus I'm not skilled enough to build all this by myself but I like the non-standard things I've done

Our website is really dinky and a huge WIP, but here it is!! 80% of us don't have started & finished profiles and I (Kay) need to update my profile really badly since I've been through a lot of internal changes but here's the culmination of lots of work :P

It's 18+ only!! NSFW is mostly sequestered to nsfw-specific sections but still be catious :P

I've got my own Neocities myself, but I'm thinking of upending it and starting over from scratch. I kind of forgot what I was doing with it. You can view it here, though: https://fennaixelphox.neocities.org/

I've been on a bit of an old-web kick lately, so I've been wanting to try and get back into web design because of that.

Ooh I can't wait to read through this thread later and look at everyone's sites.

My home is at Karnste.in! I made it with carrd. Eventually hoping to graduate to a neocities, haha. There's no overtly sexual content, but there's language and an 18+ warning since it's a personal site and links to my socials which do occasionally have NSFW. It hosts my art info, but also my web shrines about expressing my therianthropy, links for my mate, and my stuffed possum, among other stuff. There are easter eggs!

I'm currently about to start redoing my own Neocities page, since I kind of lost the plot with it. Found a BlueGriffon mirror on Internet Archive and I'm getting ready to start coding.

Incidentally, what if we had a webring?

I just did a whole bunch of tweaking on my personal site, https://dressupgeekout.com . It's made with Hugo.

I had started with what I thought was a simple theme, but it turns out that some people have a completely different idea of what "lightweight" means on the web, heh. Over the years I've been minimizing the HTML and CSS more and more.

Also I love the idea of a webring!

I think a Critter Time webring is a good idea lol
(I havnt looked into joining any webrings since I really wanna get my site in a more acceptable state to my tastes first but still)

Same. I tried making a webring on the original version of my site and had three people in it, but they both moved on from it and updated their site and now the ring is broken.

Maybe I'll try and set one up once my own site is in working order.

I wrote a smol framework for making webrings, built on the Eleventy static-site generator: eleventy-webring. Might be useful if you don't know where to start with making one. (And personally I think Onion Ring is a bit naff.)

I also run the Amphimorpho Webring, built on the above, if that's relevant to anyone's critters.
