When I joined the fandom like around 10 years ago, I didn't see many bats, so I pick bat as my fursona and when that happened, more bat turned up

You love to see less common species getting their day. I'm always banging the drum to see more OCs and sonas of sea creatures that aren't sharks. I like sharks, OK, but have you considered a nudibranch-sona?

Here's my reference sheet. I'm completely indebted to this horse dress-up game that I discovered on Itch in December 2019, played around with it, and then suddenly realised that I really liked what I had created. He's been my fursona ever since.


I also have a festive variation that I bring out every December

Robot Originally accidental, ends up feeling like my most honest/main representation in furry.

Hyena Windup automaton. Feels comfy. I like.

here’s my truesona

Some recent sketches of Nada Number himself (the "him" is just an affectation; he's physically non-gendered). Nada can't make any sound himself, but his glove has a speech synthesizer built into it and he's also fond of lip-syncing along to music he likes. Nada is actually a being of light inhabiting an ink-black protective layer of shadow; his kind communicate using high-speed flashes of color and have no actual lungs, so if he meets any of his relatives, they can have whole conversations in a fraction of a second.

They're kinda like if you took me and then changed a bunch of inconsequential variables in my history. But also if they were a foxdeer. They're as "me" as I can get without making a "true"sona that doxes me, more or less.

Legitimately fantastic seeing how diverse, wild and all over the place folks and their fursonas are, so much variety going on, especially with species and forms you don't normally see! ^^w^^

I am someone who's always still happy the greyest wolf or tabbiest of feline pop up, everyone should enjoy themselves as the species and design they want (That's part of the dang thing about being a fur after all!), but it makes it especially nice when you see species, forms or designs (Or even material, looking at you squeaky folks. ::B) you don't often see appear in the mix. It's a genuine joy, keep it up folks. uUwUu

I kind of really need to update my reference sheet at this point just because but my main fursona is a red headed red werewolf. Though her design has been adjusted a bit, she's pretty much existed in this form for over 20 years now.
