G'daya from the Spider from Down Under!

Post by TheAusSpideyGuy »

G'daya-G'daya from the middle of the night! I am TheAusSpideyGuy, but you can just call me Spidey, Aus or whatever you honestly prefer at the end of the day! My pronouns are He/Him, in my late 20s, and I bring you buggy goodness (Along with Arachnids, even though they aren't really "bugs", saves the trouble. ::B)! ^^w^^

This is probably the second time I've ever joined a forum, and I do hope I to be active here since this place seems genuinely cool, and after some encouragement by a friend, it made me get pretty interested in giving this a shot. XX3

I am currently someone who's been developing their art skills into both 2D and 3D. Having been practicing 2D art since March for the first time since High School, and slowly getting better with it each and every doodle and sketch, and also practicing 3D art within Blender, though rather on and off with it...Really need to get caught up on the projects, but I digress! Probably will show off the works and goods when I get the chance. ::3

But beyond that, my interest is mainly gaymin, playing mostly shooters and strategy games, but I have been really trying to expand out into other genres of interest! I've been slowly getting more freeflowing in the kind of games, and just desiring anything that can be fun, especially with other folks and furs...Though will say got a bad enough backlog as it is to get through. ..w..;;

I am also a big buggy fan! Not much of an entomologist or nerd as I had been hoping, but I am always keen to see the bugs the folks wanna share and any tidbits you have on them, cause man, they're just fascinating little guys...And uhhh, don't worry, can understand if anyone here has major arachnophobia, will happily warn folks of any I tend to share, but uhhh, yeah! Expect maybe some buggy related threads here and there, and I hope you all enjoy my dance-y, buggy self. uUwUu

If ya wanna know where else I am at, feel free to check my carrd right heeeeere as I am also on Bluesky and other sites ----> https://theausspideyguy.carrd.co/

(I do have Discord, but tend not to share it publicly, but I can potentially add folks if I am comfy enough with certain folks. ::P)

But yeah! Look forward to meeting everyone, old and new alike, and to ramble on with my silly little things. ::B

The thing about "bugs" is that it's very broad in the end and kind of expands past insects specifically, and bugs is also shrimp *nod*

Welcome :3

Nice to meet you! What’s your favorite buggy creature btw? Mine are jumping spiders, mantises, and isopods :3 I think they all have a cuteness to them that most people don’t see! And even the non-cute ones can be quite fascinating, yeah?

Always happy to meet a spider, whether in my house or on the internet! We're in a golden age of entomology enthusiasm and I love to see it permeate throughout furry circles and indie gaming (Webbed was one of the best platformers ever made and its follow up Isopod is coming out in October).

Welcome :3
Truuuuly!!! Gotta respect the fellow buggy eyed looking critters who are just ancestrally related as we are to scorpions and other small critter friends. XXD

Thank you for the welcome. ::3

Heheheh, nice to meetcha as well! Honestly easy...But biased choice of personal favourite being the jumping spider, especially the Peacock variety of dance-y lads. ::B

Though besides the bias picks, it's a hard choice! Each and everyone has their own little aspects I've always like coming across, such odd and interesting behaviours that are full of character...Or they just look cute to me a bit! Isopods, Mantises, Beetles, Spiders (Especially. ::B), Moths, etc. etc! They're all brilliant, it's a hidden part of world that we can all be surprised how much goes on for them than we least expect. uUwUu

That is all extremely true! The amount of interest in bugs has grown in recent years, and the help and support from furs who study the little guys really has helped us have such a greater understanding, and helped reduce fears in general (Seen way less "I see bug, I smash" behaviour, that's for sure. xXwXx), and as a result, find ways to personify them in great ways, it's great to see less bug enemies pop up in games and stories especially. ::B

(AND OH MY GOSH YES I ADORE WEBBED SO MUCH, genuinely a really cute and lovely piece of gaming made by Sbug Games, I am seriously looking forward to Isopod...But I am sad I missed out on its demo due to not realising it was a limited time thing. ..w..;;;)
